CERTIFICATION CENTER

Each BRILLIAN@T piece is accompanied by certification verifying the authenticity, quality, and origin of the pearls used.
Our Certification Centre is based in the Netherlands and ensures a strict multi-stage quality control process —
from pearl sorting to final packaging.
When purchasing our jewellery, every owner can be confident that the item they receive has undergone certification in our Certification Centre. However, our certificates differ in levels of complexity.

Levels of Certification
1.PGC — Private Gemmological Certificate -Level 1 Certificate of Compliance.

Our PGC certificates offer the highest level of fraud protection. They are issued ONLY for pieces from our Exclusive line, which feature pearls of AAAA grade or higher. Printed on special security paper, these certificates include layered security markings, a unique identification number, and an individual QR code linking directly to the item's personal digital page. Altogether, this provides full protection against counterfeit.
The PGC includes a comprehensive gemmological analysis of the pearls in the item, including radiological testing and light reflection analysis.
2. PJC — Private Jewellery Certificate -Level 2 Certificate of Compliance.

Our PJC certificates, intended for premium line pieces using pearls of AAA grade and above, also feature three layers of anti-counterfeit protection, just like Level 1 certificates.
They include detailed information on size, shape, lustre, and matching of pearls used in the piece.
3. CA — Certificate of Authenticity -Level 3 Certificate of Compliance.

CA is provided for mid-range jewellery featuring pearls up to AA grade.
It verifies the origin and authenticity of the pearls, confirms visual inspection, and overall compliance with the BRILLIAN@T brand standards for pearl quality.
What Do We Certify?

Surface quality — from flawlessly clean to moderately grainy
Lustre — from dull to mirror-like shine
Colour, tone and overtone — base colour, lightness, and reflection (white, pink, bluish, lilac, etc.)
Nacre thickness — in Edison pearls may reach 1.5–2.5 mm
Shape — perfect round, slightly oval, teardrop, baroque
Matching — consistency in colour, size, and lustre among pearls in the piece
Diameter — measured to an accuracy of 0.01 mm
Laboratory Testing Methods

Digital micrometers and callipers — for pearl size measurement
LED lighting with adjustable temperature — for lustre assessment
Microscopic lenses (10x–30x) — to analyse surface and detect imperfections
Optical reflection testing — to assess symmetry and quality of reflections
Radiological scanning (selective) — to determine structure and nacre layering
Selective slicing (not used for certifiable pieces, only for pearl batch evaluation) — for detailed internal quality assessment
Important to Know

Although the perfectly round pearl has long been considered the benchmark of beauty and quality, the emergence of Edison pearl technology in the XX century took the industry to a whole new level.
Thanks to precisely round nuclei introduced into the mollusc, the chance of achieving a pearl close to perfect spherical shape increased dramatically.
Unfortunately, this progress can be misused by dishonest suppliers — it is visually difficult to distinguish between a pearl with a very thin nacre layer around a large nucleus and a truly premium Edison pearl with a thick nacre shell up to 2.5 mm.
This is exactly why certification is essential.
Because nacre thickness is what guarantees the longevity and enduring beauty of natural cultivated pearls — ensuring they remain radiant for decades without losing their exceptional quality.
We also wish to address a common misconception:
Sellers offering so-called "genuine non-cultured pearls" at surprisingly low prices are almost certainly not being truthful.
Since the mid-20th century, natural pearl harvesting has decreased dramatically and is now virtually non-existent at scale.
A genuine, high-quality, non-cultured pearl can cost tens of thousands of euros per piece.
So please — be cautious and stay informed. There are no miracles in pearl pricing.

Regardless of the item's value, our clients can be certain that all pearls used in BRILLIAN@T pieces are always sorted, carefully selected, and certified in our Certification Centre to meet the brand’s strict quality standards.
We currently use natural cultivated Edison pearls sourced from original pearl farms worldwide.
Each batch undergoes full inspection, including physical and chemical tests,
as well as various non-destructive lab evaluations.
Additionally, sample slicing is performed on each new shipment for deep quality analysis.
At present, we work with pearls ranging from AA to AAAA, which represent the most desirable grades
on the fine jewellery market.
