We exclusively utilize genuine cultured pearls sourced directly from reputable farms. With painstaking precision, we hand-select and sort pearls based on quality, colour, size, and shape, ensuring the perfect harmony within each piece. Every pearl is inherently unique, bearing the hallmark of its natural origins.

Cultivated pearls acquire their name from the meticulous process of cultivation on specialized farms, where a nucleus (a pearl bead) is implanted into live mollusks, initiating the formation of pearls in response to foreign bodies. The natural formation process of uncultivated pearls mirrors this, albeit with the random introduction of foreign bodies into mollusks. Whether in the wild or on farms, the cultivation of pearls spans years. Achieving a pearl nacre layer substantial enough for fine jewelry requires up to five and sometimes more years.

Each batch of pearls sourced from pearl farms undergoes meticulous scrutiny at our Certification Centre, employing a range of equipment. Additionally, we conduct random sawing to ensure the authenticity and provenance of the pearls. A nacre layer exceeding 0.7mm is deemed excellent. Within our top-tier pieces, the nacre layer predominantly ranges from 1.0mm to 1.75mm, occasionally surpassing 2mm.

All our jewelry items are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and quality assurance, instilling confidence in your purchase and ensuring enduring appreciation of their beauty for years to come.

At first glance, some pearls may appear almost identical: perfectly round, beautifully lustrous,

and with similar overtones. But this is only the surface...

The images show real cross-sections of pearls examined in our BRILLIAN@T Certification Centre. All examples presented are of respectable quality, with a healthy nacre layer. Yet even among carefully selected pearls, visible differences emerge:

— one shows a solid 1.6 mm nacre thickness over a medium-sized nucleus,

— another reveals an exceptional 2.5 mm layer around a smaller core.

This alone significantly influences the pearl’s longevity and investment value.

However, not all pearls meet this standard. There are cases where the nacre thickness is minimal — invisible to the eye, but crucial in effect.

When the nacre layer is too thin the pearl cannot develop the depth and luminescent glow that defines high-quality gems.

Daily wear may lead to surface degradation and loss of shine within just 1–2 years. The pearl loses both its aesthetic and intrinsic value

It is the thickness and quality of the nacre layer that determines the pearl’s reflective properties — the subtle “inner glow” that distinguishes fine pearls from ordinary ones. Thin nacre simply cannot replicate this effect, especially under evening light.

This is why even pearls that appear visually flawless can differ dramatically in quality. Only laboratory analysis reveals the true picture — and this is precisely the work we perform at the BRILLIAN@T Certification Centre.
